Code of Conduct for World Massage Association Singapore Pte. Ltd. (WMAS)

1. Respect and Professionalism
All participants, including therapists, organizers, and attendees, are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and respect during all WMAS events, such as the World Massage Championship Competition (WMCC). Disrespectful behavior, harassment, or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or other personal attributes will not be tolerated.

2. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
All participants must adhere to the local laws and regulations applicable in Singapore and any country where WMAS operates. This includes health and safety regulations, massage therapy certification requirements, and data protection laws like the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

3. Ethical Conduct
Participants should practice massage and therapeutic techniques with the highest standards of ethics. Honesty, transparency, and integrity are key in all interactions, including client relationships, event participation, and communication.

4. Health and Safety Standards
WMAS is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all participants during events and workshops. All participants must follow health protocols, hygiene standards, and safety procedures as outlined by event organizers and venue management. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the event.

5. Confidentiality
Personal information, including client data and other sensitive information, must be treated confidentially and in compliance with the WMAS Privacy Policy. Unauthorized sharing or misuse of personal information will lead to serious consequences, including legal action.

6. Fair Competition
In events like the WMCC, participants must compete fairly and avoid any actions that undermine the integrity of the competition. Cheating, falsification of credentials, or any form of unfair advantage will lead to disqualification and potential banning from future events.

7. Zero Tolerance for Harassment
WMAS maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment of any kind, including verbal, physical, and sexual harassment. Any reported incidents will be investigated thoroughly, and individuals found in violation will be expelled from the event or organization, with further legal action considered if necessary.

8. Reporting Misconduct
All participants are encouraged to report any observed violations of this Code of Conduct. Reports will be taken seriously and handled confidentially. Individuals making a report should contact WMAS event organizers or the Data Protection Officer.

9. Disciplinary Action
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, including:

Warning or reprimand.

Removal from events or competitions.

Disqualification from future WMAS events.

Legal action, if applicable.

10. Amendments
WMAS reserves the right to amend this Code of Conduct as necessary. Participants are encouraged to review this document periodically to stay informed about any updates.
