Week 1: Introduction to Aromatherapy and Essential Oils
Session 1: History and Principles of Aromatherapy
Overview of aromatherapy origins and its integration with massage.
How aromatherapy affects the body and mind, particularly through the olfactory system.
Session 2: Introduction to Essential Oils
Characteristics and properties of essential oils (lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, etc.).
Safety and handling: dilution, application, and contraindications.
Week 2: Essential Oil Blending and Applications
Session 3: Creating Custom Blends
Techniques for blending oils based on therapeutic goals (relaxation, pain relief, etc.).
Hands-on practice creating a few basic blends.
Session 4: Aromatherapy for Common Ailments
Choosing oils and blends for common issues like stress, muscle tension, and headaches.
Practice making blends with instructor guidance.
Week 3: Aromatherapy Massage Techniques and Practice
Session 5: Basic Aromatherapy Massage Techniques
Learning soft tissue techniques such as effleurage, kneading, and gentle pressure for application with oils.
Emphasis on using light to medium pressure for relaxation.
Session 6: Integration of Aromatherapy and Massage
Applying oils effectively throughout a massage session.
Practicing smooth transitions between massage techniques while maintaining flow.
Week 4: Client Consultation, Practice, and Assessment
Session 7: Client Assessment and Customization
Techniques for assessing client needs and creating a personalized aromatherapy plan.
Understanding how to match oils to clients’ preferences and health concerns.
Session 8: Final Practice and Assessment
Students conduct a full aromatherapy massage session with feedback.

Course Requirements:
Prior experience in massage therapy is recommended but not required.
Students are encouraged to bring their own essential oils and carrier oils for blending.
Comfortable, loose clothing for practice sessions.
Certification: Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion in Aromatherapy Massage, highlighting their knowledge of essential oils and therapeutic massage techniques.
Instructor Qualifications: The course will be taught by a certified aromatherapist and massage therapist with extensive experience in essential oil therapy and wellness practices.
