Course Outline:
Week 1: Introduction to Facial Massage and Skin Health
Session 1: Anatomy of the Face and Skin Basics
Overview of facial muscles, key pressure points, and the lymphatic system.
Understanding the different skin types (oily, dry, combination, sensitive) and selecting the right products.
Benefits of facial massage for skin health, relaxation, and stress relief.
Session 2: Foundational Techniques for Facial Massage
Learning effleurage (gentle gliding strokes) to increase circulation and warm the skin.
Practicing petrissage (kneading) to release muscle tension and tapotement (tapping) for toning.
Hands-on practice with instructor guidance.
Week 2: Advanced Techniques and Full Facial Routine
Session 3: Acupressure and Lymphatic Drainage Techniques
Understanding acupressure points on the face and applying focused pressure for relaxation and energy flow.
Learning lymphatic drainage techniques to reduce puffiness, improve complexion, and promote detoxification.
Session 4: Full Facial Massage Routine and Customization
Integrating all techniques into a cohesive full facial massage routine, covering forehead, eyes, cheeks, jawline, and neck.
Client consultation skills: assessing individual needs and skin conditions for a customized experience.
Final hands-on practice, feedback, and assessment.
Course Requirements:
No prior experience in massage or skincare is required; this course is suitable for beginners and professionals.
Students are encouraged to bring their own facial towels, headbands, and any preferred skincare products.
Oils, creams, and other massage supplies will be provided.
Certification: Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Completion in Facial Massage Therapy, demonstrating proficiency in facial massage techniques and client care.
Instructor Qualifications: The course is led by a licensed esthetician or certified massage therapist with extensive experience in facial massage and skincare.
