My Journey as a Hilot and Massage Therapist My journey began in childhood when my youngest sibling fell ill. My great-grandfather's cousin, my grandfather, was called upon to help, and he successfully cured my sibling. From that moment, I knew deep down, “When I grow up, I want to be a massage therapist or masseuse.”

As I grew older, my talent developed naturally, especially when I started a family. Whenever my children fell sick, I relied on traditional remedies, using herbs for drinks and banana leaves to ease fevers. I felt a strong calling to heal others through natural methods. Later, I worked as a recruiter, helping applicants find opportunities abroad.

When we moved to Valenzuela, a friend referred me to someone seeking to hire a masseuse. That moment felt like destiny—I knew my path was to become a hilot. In 2019, I began formal training in Hilot Wellness Massage at Aphrodite Training and Assessment Center Inc., where my talent was refined. After graduating, I applied my knowledge by offering home services, especially during the pandemic, when people needed healing and comfort the most.

During the pandemic, I deepened my expertise by studying Reflexology Therapy. Since then, I have dedicated myself to helping clients relieve body pain and find relaxation through my work. In January 2024, my passion for sharing knowledge led me to begin teaching Reflexology. I continued expanding my skills, graduating in December 2024 with another Hilot Wellness Massage NC2 certificate from Milestone Technological Institute Inc In January 2025, I achieved my Massage Therapist NC2 certification and later earned a Modality Trainer Level 2 Certificate from Medalsan Training Center.

Though I am new to this competition, I already see my participation as a victory. Despite facing challenges and criticism, I remain steadfast in my belief that one day I will become a great masseur—not only in the Philippines but across the world. I am determined to keep learning new techniques and modalities to share with my students. I aim to expand my efforts, including free massage outreach programs to help those in need.

To my mentors, Sir Michael Bandillon and everyone who has guided me along the way, thank you for shaping my skills and teaching me diverse massage techniques. I am honored to be part of this competition. My hope is to continue spreading my knowledge and passion as a Reflexologist and Massage Therapist while inspiring others to pursue this meaningful profession. May God bless us all.
